Our “core” beliefs are the result of life-long “programming”, and past conditioning and it is these “core” beliefs that are behind why we sometimes think and behave in self-defeating ways.
The good news is – we have the ability to re-pattern ourselves. Our conscious thoughts can be changed by simply receiving information such as reading a book, having a conversation, or simply observing the results of our actions. To maintain this “re-patterning” though, the changes must be made at the subconscious level.
If conscious information was all that was needed, then experiencing success in all areas of life would be easy. Unless the changes are made at the subconscious level – repeating undesired reactions and behaviours will likely continue. Core beliefs have far reaching consequences, both positive and negative, in every aspect of life. They affect moods, relationships, job performance, self- esteem, and even physical health.
It is imperative to know how to change our core beliefs so that they do not limit us and instead support us in our goals and aspirations.
