Keith Tong, B.HSc., HHP

Co-founder of Pure5 Wellness Hub

Effective Healthcare depends on self-care; this fact is currently heralded as if it were a discovery.
– Ivan Illich.

Keith Tong is a graduate of the international Quantum University for Integrative Medicine with a Bachelor’s Degree in Holistic Health Science. He is currently a Holistic Healthcare Practitioner, and continues to increase his skills and expand his knowledge in the Masters Degree program at Quantum University and eventually the Doctorate program and his Ph.D. in Integrative and Natural Medicine. Keith has said, “This approach to healthcare is where I have found my life’s work.”

In the world of business, he is first and foremost an entrepreneur. He spent many years in various industries in Canada working for someone else. But after meeting his wife, Helen, they not only became husband and wife, they became business partners. Together they struck out on their own to open a pharmacy. They were young and full of energy and idealism, but more than that they were doing something they loved and believed in. One pharmacy was not enough for them. When they saw how well their business plan was working they opened another store. Within 6 years, we successfully opened three pharmacies. At the peak of their endeavors, the pharmacies were grossing over $5 million dollars in revenues, employed over 40 staff members, and filled a thousand prescriptions per day. Of course they experienced daunting challenges, but they were determined to succeed and their entrepreneurial spirit helped them meet those challenges.

Nine years into their business ventures the BC government newly reformed policy changes became a challenge they couldn’t surmount. They decided to take a whole new path for helping people with health issues. Rather than prescribe drugs to ease the symptoms of disease, they want to prevent disease all together. This desire led them to open a fresh new business with a more personal line of services; and they called it Pure5 Wellness Hub. Pure5 Wellness Hub is a beautiful health clinic that is more than a place to be pampered. It’s a place to receive natural health care solutions through a wide range of therapeutic methods; thereby, allowing the body to do what it is designed for – to heal itself. The areas of healthcare they offer are: Halotherapy (Salt Cave), Acupuncture, Massage, PEMF Therapy, Mind-Based Wellness Sessions, Naturopathic Doctor, Full Spectrum Infrared Sauna, and Organic & Vegan Full Body Services. The quality of services and the caliber of therapists form exactly what the name describes – a wellness hub.

Keith states, “My mission is to educate, empower, and inspire individuals and families to take control of their health rather than suffer with unnecessary illness or disease.”

Within a span of 6 year, we had three pharmacies under our umbrella. At the peak of their endeavours, the pharmacies were grossing over $5 million dollars in revenue, employed over 40 staff members, and filled a thousand prescriptions per day.

Helen has said, “If we have one main core belief, it’s that we have a strong moral obligation to help people create value in their lives through our community, our staff members, and our customers. This is the foundational belief of any business system we develop.” This desire led them to open a fresh new enterprise with a more personal line of services; and they called it Pure5 Wellness Hub.
